BOBBY Brown says he remained "in love" with Whitney Houston until her shocking death, but felt that "cocaine and alcohol" and the "stress of fame" doomed their marriage.

The R&B star also "broke down" during his first visit to the graves of his ex wife and his daughter Bobbi Kristina, in one of two bombshell new TV shows about his life.

Cameras captured the 52-year-old "mustering the strength" to pay a visit to their graves, located side by side in Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey.

The interviews in the upcoming shows have been billed as his "his most candid ever" and coincide with the 10th anniversary of Whitney's death.

Production insiders believe Bobby's reflections on Whitney will "finally go some way to showing the world Bobby's remorse, battles to stay sober and regrets."

They added that Bobby "has never been more frank" about the demise of his life with Whitney - through drink and drug abuse, which led to violence and ultimately divorce.

A source told The Sun: “This is Bobby at his most candid really delving deep into the emotions, regrets and tragedies - and talking so openly about Whitney.

DESTROYED BY ADDICTION

“One major revelation is him insisting the pair loved one another, despite their traumatic past, right until the end.

“Bobby admits that their lives were destroyed by addictions rather than loathing each other.

“Certainly they both hoped that things would not turn out differently."

The insider continued: “These interviews certainly paint a different light on what the world may feel was the true nature of Whitney and Bobby’s life.

“Moments are truly heartbreaking. His public image as a bad boy is likely to be rethought too.

“Bobby has never had the strength to pay his respects at the graveside of his ex wife and their daughter. Those moments are powerful - filled with a lot of tears. It is heartbreaking."

FAMILY TRAGEDIES

The source concluded: “The tragedies he has faced within his family are horrific and the scars are reopened. But there is also a sense of healing too because Bobby wants to build a bright future with his family.”

Iconic singer Whitney accidentally drowned in the bathtub at the Hilton in Los Angeles in February 11, 2012, at age 48, although heart disease and cocaine use were found to be contributing factors to her death.

Bobbi Kristina was 22 when she passed in 2015, after being found unresponsive in a bathtub in eerily similar circumstances to her mother.

His youngest son Bobby Jr., 28, died of an overdose of alcohol, cocaine, and the powerful opioid fentanyl in November 2020.

Bobby appears in both a four-hour documentary and a 12-part reality series focusing on "him moving forward with his life and family following tragedies."

The star spent over 20 hours with producers for the A&E Channel's Biography show, which airs in May.

And he will also be revisiting the past as cameras follow him and his family daily for a new series Every Little Step.

The source said: "Whitney and Bobbi Kristina may have passed, but they are ever constant talking points for Bobby and his family.

"It is an astonishing look at the battle Bobby faces too with his sobriety and keeping his family staying optimistic.

"Although some of the subject matter is dark - the truth is that there is much light in their lives.”

A media release for the show confirms that the show “gives viewers VIP access” to the Grammy Award winner.

STRUGGLES WITH SOBRIETY

The documentary "gives fans an up-close and personal look at the American Music Award winner’s journey to superstardom and the fallout from his personal struggles with sobriety and the tragic deaths of his two children and first wife, Whitney Houston.

“The new 12-episode series Bobby Brown: Every Little Step takes us in to present day for an exclusive look at his life with wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown and their children."
