THE popular fashion chain Buckle has revealed that one of its stores will be closing after 20 years of business.

But the retailer isn’t leaving the city of Jackson, Michigan for good as chiefs are opening a new outlet.

Buckle has been a staple at the Westwood Mall for more than two decades but the store’s days look numbered as it could close on October 1, per MLive.

But shoppers shouldn’t fear as a new store will be opening at Jackson Crossing – a shopping mall that is home to dozens of retailers.

The mall is home to major chains such as Buffalo Wild Wings, Lowe’s, Kohl’s, and TJ Maxx.

Amy Deeter, the Buckle District Manager, told MLive that the new store is expected to open by October 3.

She revealed that the new store is set to open an hour earlier and close an hour later.

Deeter said that the new shop will feature wood flooring instead of carpet.

Chiefs are hoping the store will get traffic from drivers who use Interstate 94.

Deeter said: “Hopefully, that will allow more people to discover us and shop us for jeans.”

The upcoming Buckle store closure in Jackson, Michigan comes just months after chiefs closed down its store at Northlake Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina.
