More on the Patrick Beverley trade
ESPN announced on Monday that Patrick Beverley will sign with the Chicago Bulls.
Beverley was traded to the Orlando Magic prior to the trade deadline only to be bought by the Chicago Bulls the following week.
He previously played for the Los Angeles Lakers scoring an average of 6.4 points per game and 2.6 assists.
More on Gary Payton II controversial trade
Gary Payton II showed promise as an asset on the Trail Blazers before his abdominal surgery last September.
He missed 35 games and started his season in January due to the recovery.
The Warriors decided to enter into a four-team deal for Payton until he failed his physical and it was revealed the Blazers were giving him Toradol to make it through games.
The trade did go through, but the Warriors had an opportunity to cancel the deal due to Payton's health.
Payton spoke to reporters Wednesday and admitted he wasn't surprised when he failed the Warriors physical.
Gary Payton II speaks out
Gary Payton II made headlines a few weeks ago when he failed a physical, putting a complicated four-team deal in jeopardy.
The Warriors decided to continue the trade, and Payton has finally spoken on the matter.
Payton confirmed to the media on Wednesday that he did take Toradol shots while playing for the Blazers.
He clarified: "Me just being a competitor, I wanted to get out there. No shots, though."
"I was a bigger factor on the court than off the court. Me being 50 percent was better than nothing. I just had to get out there and help my team try to win. ... No shots, it's just being a competitor. I got to get out there and do what I got to do."
Kevin Durant on NBA trades
Kevin Durant spoke with ESPN on trade requests in the NBA.
He stated: "When a player can kinda dictate where he wants to go and leave in free agency or demand a trade, it's just a part of the game now.
So I don't think it's a bad thing, it's bringing more and more excitement to the game."
