"But you know Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, and if he acts right, it is All-Star."

In July of that same year, it was revealed James Harden and Khloé Kardashian were dating.

In February 2016, the NBA All-Star and the Good American founder parted ways.

Regarding their split, an insider confirmed to E! Online: "Nothing really [bad] happened.

"They just barely saw each other the past few months and it died out."

After he and Khloé called it quits, it was reported Harden moved on with Ashanti.

The whispers began after it appeared Harden sent the Best Friend rapper $100k via Cashapp.

However, the transaction turned out to be a hoax circulated on the web.

The NBA MVP disputed the rumors and explained to his Instagram followers: "I’m tired of people creating these false a** stories knowing I really don’t speak on bulls**t.

According to both James and Khloé, their breakup was attributed to the latter's estranged marriage to Lamar Odom, as well as the publicity that followed the Kardashians.

"I didn’t like all of the attention. I feel like it was for no reason," James confessed to Sports Illustrated.

"I wasn’t getting anything out of it except my name out there and my face out there, and I don’t need that.

"It wasn’t uncomfortable, but it wasn’t me. It was unnecessary stuff that I think trickled down to my teammates. I had to eliminate that."

Meanwhile, Khloé shared with Ryan Seacrest: "James has been great. He's been very supportive with everything.

"I was very open with how I feel like I had to handle everything with Lamar, and I really, really appreciate how supportive James has been and it wasn’t another layer of stress on me.

"I’m sure there were, of course, times that he was uncomfortable with some of the things, but I’m a very honest person and I have nothing to hide."
