My BBL surgery almost killed me - the bum implant festered and had to be cut out, it was a total waste of £7k

A WOMAN has taken to TikTok to encourage girls to stick with the natural look after her BBL surgery nearly killed her. 

Alex revealed that six months after her Brazilian butt lift, she noticed one side had started to grow. 

An ultrasound confirmed that she had developed an infection, and had Alex not found a doctor to remove the infected tissue, she would have died. 

The content creator from Miami, US, known online as @conquistadolla, regularly shares life updates with her 69,600 TikTok followers. 

In a new reel, she said: “Okay so this is how my BBL almost killed me. 

“Basically, back in 2019 I got a BBL and I thought it was perfect. I thought it was hot s***, chef’s kiss, nobody could tell me s***.

“Six months in, one of the booty cheeks starts growing, and I’m like, ‘no, no, no, no. There’s no way’. 

“No, it was. It continued. People started telling me, people would tell me. 

“And so the original doctor had be go get an ultrasound. The ultrasound said there was a mass in it and there was fluid, so I had to get it all removed. 

“Flew back to Miami, tried to get it removed, basically they couldn’t do it because it was so thick and there was so much. 

“Flew back home, tried to find a doctor to do it, couldn’t find anybody. Everybody denied me. 

“Finally I found a reconstructive plastic surgeon who was willing to do it, but it was a very large price tag. 

“And it was an emergency at that point. It had festered so badly that it was an emergency. 

“So they had to cut my booty cheek open - I still have the scar, it’s horrible - to get all of my liquid and solid fat and necrosis removed. 

“And if I’d never found my doctor, it would have either been a very large infection or killed me.”

Her story attracted plenty of attention online, gaining more than 155,900 likes and 2.2 million views. 

In the comments, Alex’s followers shared their reactions, with one writing: “You’re so brave for sharing this. There are probably so many girls who had complications that we don’t know of.”

Another said: “Oh well this story has talked me out of a BBL.”

A third wrote: “They say a bbl is the most dangerous for a reason. I’m just glad you’re ok!! That’s all the matters!

Alex replied: “Bad! Same! I try to tell girls now don’t be like me.”
