PRESIDENT Trump laughed as members of the media were sprayed with water from a giant hose during a rally in Florida on Thursday.

Trump said "there goes the cameras" as the hose was unleashed on members of the press in Tampa.

"Look at that. Oh, are they doing that on purpose?" Trump asked as he briefly paused his rally speech.

"Are they friend or foe?"

"They may be doing that on purpose. Let's find out if they're friend or foe, and if they're foe, let's take care of those sons of a b****es," Trump said.

Video panned to show a water hose spraying straight into the air in the steamy 84F heat.

"Oh look they're hitting the press," Trump said, laughing.

"That's okay."

"Oh there goes the cameras. There goes the million dollars worth of equipment."

"Look at that. Wow. That's cool, actually," he added.

"And I'll tell the media, I have nothing to do with that.

Trump's supporters then began to chant "We love you!"

Ahead of Trump's arrival, at least three people needed medical attention in the sweltering Florida heat at the rally.

Also speaking at his rally, Trump name-dropped Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as one of the people he suspected as the possible author of Anonymous.

He threatened that "bad things" will happen to Anonymous author Miles Taylor, who revealed himself as the name behind the opinion piece on the Trump administration.
